Support William Kilpack, Student Ambassador
Members of the Wrestling Community:
William Kilpack, 13-year-old wrestler from Sandy, Utah, will be
representing Utah and the United States this summer as a
People to People Student
Ambassador in China. He was selected for academic achievement
and passed through a rigorous screening process that included
interviews and letters of recommendation from adults he had worked
with both in and out of his school. This is a great honor and
is sure to be a life-changing experience for him.
William is an accomplished wrestler, having won 10 national
titles and, most recently, being named Outstanding Wrestler at the
Reno World Championships. This year, he will be missing USA
Wrestling Western Regional Championships and USA Wrestling Kids
Nationals in order to represent his state and country in this
endeavor.
The cost of this trip is shouldered by his family, which covers
the cost of flights and ground transportation; lodging and meals;
instructors teaching classes prior to leaving for the excursion, as
well as supervision during the two weeks he is in China. There are fundraising
programs designed to help defray costs but, stated simply, there is
no more closely knit group of people who may be willing to pitch in than those in the wrestling
community. With that in mind, if you would like to
help support him in his fundraising efforts, please feel free
to donate $5, $10 or $25 via PayPal.
If you know William, you know that he is a fine young man and
will represent his state and country well.
Thank you.
